Privacy Policy — Sand Unblock
Last updated: 25 September 2026 — applies to version 1.1 and later
This policy explains what Sand Unblock ("the app", "the game") collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the iOS app published by LDH ("we", "us").
Sand Unblock has no accounts, no sign-in, no ads and no in-app purchases. You never type personal information into it.
Short version
- Your game progress stays on your device.
- We collect anonymous gameplay statistics to see which levels are too hard.
- If — and only if — you allow it, we share an advertising identifier with Meta so we can tell which of our adverts bring in new players.
- We never sell your data, and we cannot identify you personally from what we collect.
- Version 1.0 collected nothing at all; the two items above arrived with version 1.1.
What stays on your device
Your current level, your coin total and the furthest level you have finished are stored locally on your iPhone. They are not sent anywhere. Deleting the app deletes them permanently — we hold no backup and cannot restore them.
What we collect, and why
1. Gameplay statistics (GameAnalytics)
Every time you start or finish a level, or restart it before finishing, the app sends an anonymous event to GameAnalytics, our analytics provider. Each event contains:
- the level number, and whether it was started, completed or restarted;
- your device model, operating system version, app version and country;
- how long the play session lasted;
- a random identifier generated on install, which is not linked to your name, your email or your Apple ID.
Why: to see where players get stuck, and to balance the difficulty. Nothing else.
Legal basis (GDPR): our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the game.
GameAnalytics acts as our data processor. Their privacy policy: https://gameanalytics.com/privacy
2. Advertising measurement (Meta / Facebook) — only with your permission
The first time you open the app, iOS asks whether you allow tracking. This is Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- If you decline (or ignore it), the app does not access your advertising identifier (IDFA), and nothing is linked to you across other companies' apps and websites.
- If you allow it, the app shares your advertising identifier with Meta, along with the fact that you installed the app, completed the first level, or reached a given level.
Why: so we can tell which of our adverts actually bring in players, and stop paying for the ones that do not.
Legal basis (GDPR): your consent, given through the iOS prompt.
You can change your mind at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your iPhone. Declining changes nothing in the game: every level and every feature works exactly the same either way.
Meta acts as an independent data controller for this data. Their privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy
3. Crash and diagnostic data
If the app crashes, our providers may receive technical details about the failure — device model, OS version, and where in the code it happened. This helps us fix it. It contains nothing about you.
What we do NOT do
- We do not show ads inside the game.
- We do not ask for, store or transmit your name, email address, phone number or contacts.
- We do not access your photos, camera, microphone, location or health data.
- We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
- We do not build advertising profiles about you ourselves.
How long data is kept
Anonymous gameplay statistics are retained by GameAnalytics for as long as they remain useful for improving the game, and no longer than 24 months. Advertising measurement data is retained by Meta according to their own policy.
Your rights
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your data, and to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the right to know what is collected and to request its deletion. We do not sell personal information as the CCPA defines it.
Because our analytics data is anonymous and carries no identifier that we can trace back to you, we may need you to provide the random install identifier before we can act on a request. Contact us and we will explain how to find it.
To exercise any of these rights, or to withdraw consent, write to leducholding@gmail.com. We answer within 30 days.
Children
Sand Unblock is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page first. Significant changes will be announced in the app's release notes.
